Product information:

We take care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on this website are correct and we aim to keep this website as up to date as possible.

Product colour: We make every effort to ensure that the products are photographed in their true condition and show their true colours, however images can look different on different computer monitors and therefore exact colour matches are not possible.

Bespoke Lampshades or other soft furnishing items: As each bespoke product is made individually to order, we cannot guarantee the exact positioning of fabric patterns, and this may differ from those on our website, however we will always endeavor to match the patterns as closely as possible, and for bespoke items will discuss this with you in advance. Seams on lampshades cannot be pattern matched, as we are governed by the size of the panel or frame used to make the lampshade. We run a returns policy, however returns on bespoke made to order items cannot be made.  When you commission us to make you a bespoke item using your own fabric, in advance we will ask you to please send us a swatch of the fabric with a full description including sizes, of the item. We will then send you, by email, a quotation and upon acceptance of this quote, we will then send you an invoice for payment in advance of us commencing work. Please allow 3 weeks until bespoke items are dispatched, however we will discuss the delivery date with you.

Product safety:

Lampshades: we recommend using 40w maximum or LED or energy saving light bulbs and to keep the bulb a minimum of 5cm away from the sides of the shades.

Drum shades: Lampshades should comply with BS EN 60598-2-2:2012, The British Standard for Luminaries, and our drum shades have been made with pvc or paper materials that have been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories and have passed the Glow Wire Test. Fabrics, textiles or paper that is laminated to this pvc take on its properties and become fire resistant also.

Hand sewn shades: All of our hand sewn lampshades are treated with a water-based fire-proofing spray, which creates a flame retardant barrier on natural and synthetic fabrics and has a non-toxic, non-hazardous formulation.

Vintage items: Our items that are "vintage" or "retro" always come with a certain age-related wear and tear and although sold to you in the best possible condition, we cannot be held responsible for the safety of the items. However by using a low wattage bulb (40watts max) or an LED bulb and by ensuring it is kept a minimum 5cm away from the edge of the shade, you should not encounter any scorching.

Vintage items:

We source our vintage original items from across the UK. Please note ‘vintage’ and ‘retro’ items can come with all their charming original details and some defects, and due to their age can have age-related wear and tear. This may include some spotting on fabric, or fading. However, we aim to accurately describe all these details and add photographs so that you are completely aware of these at the time of purchase. By placing the order with us, you as the customer are acknowledging the condition and nature of these vintage original products.

Cancellation of orders:

We reserve the right to cancel purchases and orders for any reason prior to dispatch. If orders are cancelled for any reason, you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to these orders. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible and let us know your name, date of order and order content.

Order returns:

We are happy to give you a full refund on stock items provided you return the item to us within 10 working days of receipt. Items must be carefully packaged and sent using a trackable and insured delivery service at your own cost, and must arrive in perfect order. If you wish to return any item for any reason, please contact us in advance so that we are ready to process your return as soon as possible. Please be aware that the large lampshades cost around £12 to be sent via Royal Mail's Parcelforce service, so its good to be sure before you order!

If your order has arrived damaged due to its transit, please contact us immediately as we only have 7 days to make a claim with the courier company or post office. Please keep all packaging and endeavour to take images for proof, until the situation has been resolved but we will reimburse you as soon as possible.

Bespoke items:  as these items are handmade to order for you, we regret that these items are not returnable.
