Completing the lampshade:
🌟 After hand sewing the pleated fabric - I add my balloon lining
🌟 then make bias binding to complete the lampshade. These are used to hide all the stitches, to cover the ends of the pleating, and to tidy up the whole look

Today - a pair of knife pleated lampshades. This lovely crisp fabric is pleated to perfection around the base ring, and gathered around the top - a mix of formal meets informal!
Each pleat - 1cm in this case - measured individually and all hand sewn
